Veri Soda

Overall Rating: 5 Stars

About Veri:

“Remember a time when soda wasn’t a four-letter word? Before corn syrup replaced cane sugar and chemicals became “acceptable” substitutes for real ingredients? Those were the days when soda was a more innocent treat.

We do. And we’ve spent years crafting a soda that’s like no other; one that we could proudly serve to anyone, even our children, guilt-free.

Some said it couldn’t be done.

Experts insisted that a soda with no additives or preservatives would have a shelf life shorter than a Hollywood marriage. Some argued that eliminating 65% of the calories was the same as eliminating most of the taste. Others said it was impossible: a soda with no artificial colors, no artificial aromas, no artificial flavoring and no artificial sweeteners? No way.

We politely disagreed. Then committed ourselves to crafting the world’s finest organic, low-calorie soft drinks. A soda like no other.

Say hello to Veri. A truli different kind of soda.

My Thoughts:

I haven’t drank a soda in years–it’s one of the very first things I cut out in high school when I was at the pinnacle of my athletic training regimen. If I ever have a craving for a bubbly drink, kombucha always does the trick in satisfying that. I am currently on a mission to completely break my husband of his soda habit. He doesn’t drink a ton of them–but any one junky soda is one too many in my opinion.

There is absolutely ZERO nutritional benefit in drinking soda. It’s loaded with preservatives and garbage that allow this poop-in-a-can (sorry, that’s the best I could come up with) to sit on the shelves for years. That’s pretty scary to me. So, in all of that–I don’t want that crap anywhere near my family. The AWESOME part is that there’s a big upside to all of this. There are brands like Veri that are coming out with a realistic alternative for soda drinkers. It’s not as beneficial as drinking a green juice, but its a WHOLE heck of a lot better than grabbing a soda at the convenience store.

Veri Organic sodas are the best “sodas” that you can buy. I don’t truly believe they are the best alternative all together, as I think that kombucha and probiotic drinks are the best alternative. But, for those looking for a comparable flavor and bubbly experience, Veri has nailed it. Every ingredient is organic. I would feel MUCH better about my husband drinking Veri than any other soda. I give this soda 5 stars (despite it not being a kombucha or green drink) because I realize some people need to take baby steps. For instance, instead of switching from a big-box soda brand to kombucha, maybe some individuals would do better switching to a product like Veri–and I strongly encourage that! Making healthy swaps is what this is all about.

OH! And to top it all off, my husband enjoyed these sodas. He thought the flavor was good and that they were very drinkable. Organic and healthy doesn’t have to mean tasteless. 🙂

I encourage you to check out Veri’s site, where you can find a store near you that carries Veri. You can also order it online. Make your soda habit health-serving!
